Book of Ra

★★★★☆ 4.4 Editor rating

Coin Strike is one of those games that looks simple for about thirty seconds and then quietly takes over your bus ride. You drag back a coin, aim, release, and watch it slide across the board to knock other pieces into the slots. The physics are springy and predictable once you get a feel for them, which is exactly what an arcade game like this needs.

What surprised me is how much the later boards ask you to think. Early stages are pure reflex, but soon you're planning two shots ahead, lining up a glancing hit so one coin sets up the next. There's a light puzzle layer underneath the arcade surface, and it kept me playing far longer than I expected.

Controls are the real win. One thumb does everything, aiming is forgiving, and the game never buries the action behind menus. It's a clean, honest little title that respects your time and your screen.

If I have a complaint, it's that the background music gets repetitive. Mute it, keep the sound effects on for the satisfying clack, and you're set.
